A hand-worked field blend that retains the vivid fruit of Ruby Port while adding the depth of old vines and extended cellar blending.
The van Zeller family's connection to Douro wine dates to 1620, with Van Zellers & Co formally founded in 1780. Cristiano van Zeller and Joana Pinhão continue that heritage through hand-crafted field blends, traditional lagares and careful maturation in very old Port casks.
In the glass
Forest fruits, red berries, figs and raisins; rich but supple, with a youthful velvety structure.
How it is made
Foot crushed and fortified in traditional lagar; aged for at least three years in century-old Port casks and small stainless-steel vats; bottled to preserve primary fruit.
