Calcu works the coastal side of Colchagua's Marchigüe sector, where Pacific breezes moderate warm days and granitic clay soils naturally limit yields. Its gravity-fed winery uses geothermal energy, cutting gas and electricity use while handling fruit gently.

Black cherry, cassis and graphite with tobacco, cedar and spice; powerful and fresh, with velvety tannins and a long finish.

Low-yielding granitic-clay plots; hand selection; 21-day maceration; 24 months in French oak.
