Four months of oak adds spice and shape while keeping fruit and slate at the centre.

The heir to village cooperatives founded from 1917 in Gratallops, El Lloar and the two Vilellas. Around 140 families manage hundreds of small parcels, including old Grenache and Carignan on llicorella slate; the cooperative controls the process from vineyard to bottle.

Black cherry, blackberry, plum, vanilla, smoke and clove; warm, mineral and structured with a long finish.

How it is made
Handpicked fruit, stainless-steel vinification and four months in French oak; production of 4,530 bottles.
