Calcu works the coastal side of Colchagua's Marchigüe sector, where Pacific breezes moderate warm days and granitic clay soils naturally limit yields. Its gravity-fed winery uses geothermal energy, cutting gas and electricity use while handling fruit gently.

In the glass
Blackberry, plum, sweet spice, cedar, vanilla and herbs; juicy and rounded with polished tannins and a persistent finish.

How it is made
Hand harvested and double sorted; 21-day maceration; 18 months in French oak.

Enjoy it with
Slow-cooked beef, lamb shoulder, barbecue or mature cheese.
